If God hates divorce then why did He allow it in the law? How did these rules protect women from their former husbands? How seriously did God treat the crime of human trafficking? How were Israelites to handle taking loans from each other? Why was it important to pay someone immediately after they had done their job? Is there a contradiction in the law and the Bible in how the sins of the father shouldn't lead to the deaths of the sons? Why was God so adamant about protecting the sojourner, widow, and orphan in the land? How did God protect them in the law?
